PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ceramic InsulCoat Roof is a strong, tough, ceramic, elastomeric coating with superior adhesion, breathability, elasticity, and weatherproofing.  Reduces energy use and cuts utility bills.  It is intended to be a topcoat providing an extension to the existing roofing system and is not a stand-alone roofing material.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Solar Reflectance - Reflects sunlight (including the visible, infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths).  CRRC rated at 0.88 initial and 0.68 three-year aged.
  • Thermal Emittance - Is a measure of how well a surface gives off (or emits) the energy it absorbs.  According to the California Energy Commission, "A rating of 0.75 is a relative high rating and desirable to keep heat out of an air-conditioned space."  CRRC rated at 0.87 initial and 0.89 three-year aged
  • Flexible Elastomeric Roof Coating - 445% elongation.
  • Year-Round Thermal Barrier - Ceramic particulate plus high titanium dioxide levels keep you cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
  • Energy Savings - Reflected heat rays increase efficiency.  Thermal emittance slows the movement of heat through the substrate.  Ceramic particulate resists the transfer of heat through the substrate.  This provides enhanced heat management, greater occupant comfort, lowers energy use, and therefore, reduces utility bills.
  • Breathable Elastomeric Roof Coating - Resists weathering.  Balanced engineering keeps water and dirt out while allowing the natural moisture buildup to escape to the atmosphere.  Breathes at 24.9 perms.
  • Fire Resistant - Self-extinguishing, does not support flame spread.
  • Environmentally Friendly - A GREEN product.  Low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC = 42gm/l).  100% acrylic, water-based product that meets today's strict environmental guidelines.

Use appropriate primers on wood and metal surfaces.

Use Ceramic InsulSeal on porous and weathered membranes.

Pastel/White base is recommended for peak thermal benefits.
